Lexie and Ryan’s Lake Como Romance Bali Wedding at Villa Kailasha
There’s always something that little bit extra special about this couple – they met at a mutual friend’s Christmas party in 2017 – and it marks the beginning of truly something special.
Their connection grew stronger with each passing day, leading them to one unforgettable weekend at Kempinski. Ryan had arranged a private helicopter ride from Nusa Dua to Melasti Beach, creating a breathtaking experience for both of them. As they soared above the ocean, they spotted rose petals spelling out the words “Marry Me?” on the beach below. It was an incredibly romantic gesture that could be seen from afar.
Once they landed, Ryan got down on one knee and asked the question that would change their lives forever. The surprises didn’t end there, as Lexie discovered their hotel room adorned with roses and over 50 photos capturing their most cherished memories together. Champagne and desserts awaited them, making the moment even more magical.
Fast forward to their wedding day, tucked away in the beautiful island of Bali, Lexie & Ryan chose the luxurious Villa Kailasha to host their special day. After months of filling her secret Pinterest board, the common thread throughout Lexie’s wedding inspiration was a Lake Como Romance setting filled with mostly white, neutral splashes of green, and thoughtful, personal details.
Working with the incredible Tash from Plan A Bali, a vibrant celebration was brought to life on the grounds of the Villa. An intimate ceremony in the garden was styled with a white and green floral arrangement, overlooking the secluded pool (and the ocean!) and becoming a stunning natural backdrop.
Attention to detail is always something that catches our eye, and Tash and her team did not disappoint. From the woven bamboo fans and telephone station to the name written in the wedding gown, everything in their styling was personalized to a tee.
Trove Artistry made sure Lexie was on top of her game on her wedding day as they carefully executed hair and make-up for our beautiful bride.
The gorgeous details continued right through to the al fresco reception, long tables clothed in white clothes with wooden chairs create an earthy, organic setting under a sea of glowing fairy lights and florals.
Their ceremony was officiated by Wita, who had legally married them over 2 years ago—a testament to the enduring love they shared.
With guests celebrating over cocktails and a feast before hitting the dance floor, it’s clear through the incredible images exactly how much fun was had by Lexie and Ryan and their loved ones.
Keep reading to watch how their day unfolded through the stunning snaps below, as we chat to these high-school sweethearts about their experience planning a wedding in Bali and the local suppliers that helped to make it happen!

The final part… but most important for your blog!
Where did you find your styling inspiration for your Bali wedding? A lot on pinterest but i always dreamt of a pretty white and fairytale wedding. I found this villa in Italy called La Casa Toscana and loved the vibe so we used a lot of their weddings as inspiration as i wanted the same feel to my day
What was the hardest part about planning a destination wedding?
Not a destination wedding for me and not hard at all, everything was seamless, smooth and stress free!
Why did you choose Bali as your wedding destination? Ive lived here for 5 years and couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else.
How did you stay organised while planning a destination wedding?
I didnt – i forgot i was planning a wedding most of the time. Tash really did it all. I met up with her in person twice and that was when most of the planning was done
Budget: (Approximate) our initial budget was 25k
Actual Cost: Everything included 40k… we definitely didn’t stick the budget
