How We Met:
We met 15 years ago working at Jason’s family restaurant The Old School Trattoria, run by his auntie Pina and Uncle Franco. We met waitering and became good friends. After 2 years over at a friend’s 21st we shared our first kiss and the rest was history.
Together for 13 years. 2 months into the relationship, we went on our first trip to Bali and have been every year since. In year 11 Jason proposed in Bali at Motel Mexicola, surprising me on my girls’ weekend away. Not only did he fly over, but he also flew both his and my parents to join in on the surprise proposal and celebrations!
Bali meant a lot to us and having the wedding in Bali was a no-brainer. In 2019 we booked in for an October 2020 wedding date. Little did we know that Covid was on the horizon and what we thought was a silly flu turned into a 2 ½ year postponement.
The wedding was an amazing day and one both us and our guests will never forget. Being in Bali with 60 of your closest family and friends is an experience that will never happen again. An incredible opportunity to go on holiday with everyone to celebrate family, love, and happiness.

Where did you find your styling inspiration for your Bali wedding?
Inspiration came from so many places! Instagram pages from Bali planners, Pinterest boards of beach weddings, and also just making sure it was our own through what we both loved. We just wanted good food, great drinks, and fabulous music and that’s what we got!
What was the hardest part about planning a destination wedding?
To be honest nothing really. We had a great planner who was highly communicative which is important. WhatsApp was important and recommended to easily go back and forth on things.
Covid was the hardest part for our wedding! Thank goodness that’s over!
Why did you choose Bali as your wedding destination?
Bali is part of the DNA of our relationship so it was not just fitting but it was clear that we were getting married there.
How did you stay organised while planning a destination wedding?
WhatsApp and our planner keeping us on course.
